Attention all Pete's Pagebuilder Administrators!
Due to a security vulnerability, identified by the vendor, in Pete's Pagebuilder (DNN), an upgrade is scheduled for the end of July 2009. The upgrade process duration is estimated to last three days.
During the upgrade process, web sites will be accessible for viewing but administrators will not be able to login, edit or upload any files. This only applies to sites created using Pete's Pagebuilder (DNN) portal.
In addition, because of the nature of the vulnerability, several file extensions have been temporarily disabled until the upgrade has been completed in order to ensure the integrity of the University's websites. These extensions are as follows:
- HTML
- JavaScript
- ActiveScript

To those administrators who have content on test (betadept.utep.edu) portal, please copy your content over to production by Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009. We will need to sync test with production and this will cause any existing data in test to be overwritten. To copy your content to production, create a page on a current site you administer and then hide the page(s) or send me an email to request a portal on the production environment.
You will be provided with additional information in the upcoming weeks regarding the upgrade.
If you have any questions regarding the upgrade, please send an email to
